Chelsea to sign Haaland over Lukaku, Parish sends Zaha message and agent opens door for Hakimi deal in Chelsea roundup….

Jermaine Jenas believes Chelsea are more likely to sign Erling Haaland than Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku during this summer’s transfer window.

With the Blues looking to improve the squad and add a number of players to the side, there has been alot of speculation in the media which have suggested that We are interested in a deal for Haaland and Lukaku.

Haaland is regarded as one of the finest strikers in world football and has been linked with all the major clubs around Europe, while Lukaku had an amazing season with Inter Milan and helped the squad win that Seria A title for the first time in 11 seasons.

But despite the rumours that Lukaku is the number one transfer target for the club , Jenas has opened up and claimed that the board are much more likely to sign Haaland from Dortmund this coming window.

Is [Romelu] Lukaku the one? I don’t think Chelsea go back very much with players,’ Jenas was quoted on the Metro

‘I think they will go younger and go with Haaland. I think they may go for it this year.

‘They know they are probably the only ones along with Man City or PSG that can move that quick and that fast to make it happen. If they get Haaland, they will compete for the league, no doubt.’

There is no doubt that we need to add another striker to the squad in the summer, so either one of these two players would be a massive signing for the club. But considering Lukaku doesnt want to come back to the Premier League, we totally agree with Jenas on this one

Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish has warned the likes of Chelsea that a deal for Wilfred Zaha will only be done at the “right” price.

Over the past few seasons, Zaha has developed into one of the most deadly attackers in the Premier League and his performances over the past few seasons has led to alot of speculation about where he will be by the end of the summer

The highly-rated 28-year-old has made no secret of that fact that the time has come for him to make another high-profile move, and Palace can appreciate why Zaha wants out, but no discounts will be offered to those planning to put formal bids on the table.

Parish has told BBC Sport : “We understand his position.

“It’s no secret that he would like to challenge himself.

“But it has to be right for the football club. He understands that as well.

“If those two things collide then we will have to look at it. But right now, we are two days into the transfer window so it’s a bit early to talk about it.”

He may not be a spring chicken, but he is proven in the Premier League and would be a player that fans would love to see on a weekly basis, especially as he adds pace, power and goals to that Palace squad.

But if we do make a transfer move in the coming weeks, is there really space in this side for him to play on a weekly basis?

The agent of Chelsea transfer target Achraf Hakimi has confirmed that Inter Milan have begrudgingly decided to sell the defender this summer.

Thomas Tuchel is looking to improve the squad over the course of the transfer window and adding a new defender to the squad has been on the agenda of the German boss.

That has led to speculation in the media that the club have already begun making moves to try and secure a transfer deal for the impressive Hakimi, who is now regarded as one of the best right-backs in Europe.

Argentina striker Lauturo Martinez has been heavily linked with an exit from the San Siro but Alejandro Camano, who represents both players, says Hakimi has been chosen as the main departure, which will hand the club a massive boost.

‘The only one who is going to leave Inter for now is Hakimi, who I also represent,’ said Camano on the Metro website

‘[With Lautaro] there is still no clear situation. [But Hakimi] he is going.

Tuchel vowed not to make wholesale changed to his squad after the victory against Manchester City in Porto: ‘Two or three (signings) could be very, very good,’ said Tuchel recently

‘It’s a constant thing to never deny change; that you always bring new energy, new guys who question the old beliefs, who challenge everybody in the training and in matches, so I think it’s a good thing.

‘We don’t need another seven and another complete turnover because it’s also our job to keep on improving, because we have still a young squad and it’s not about stealing from them the chance to prove it again, that they are capable of growing and evolving. But we have some ideas, of course, to make the group stronger, and I think this can always be a positive thing to challenge all of us.’
