Italian Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Antonio Rudiger is one of the players that Chelsea are looking to hand a new contract too
Rudiger made 33 appearances for the club across all competitions last season, with 24 of those coming under Tuchel – who succeeded club legend Frank Lampard at the helm in January.
He has become a big part of the Germans side, but there is still some rumours that he could depart the club this summer and seek a fresh challenge, especially with reports that we are eyeing up a new world class defender.
However, boss Tuchel has recently come out and said that he would like Rudiger to stay at the club if he wants a new contract, and talks will begin after the European Championships are over.
Now Italian Romano has claimed that the club are looking to tie down Rudiger, along with Andreas Christensen an Ngolo Kante this summer, as they seek to push on from their Champions League win last season
There was alot of people who firmly believed that Rudiger would be leaving the club, but he really has impressed over the past few months. It would be a massive shock to see him depart the club this summer and we are sure that he will get the contract that he deserves
Tuchel will be hoping to keep alot of the players that he has at the club already, while also adding a few members to the side. So the news that he is all set to sign a big new contract with the club will be massive news
