There is a situation brewing up involving two former Blues that is in danger of becoming a drama this winter.
With the international break starting this week, it gives a chance for players to join up with their national sides and team mates there, with some of them having very strong bonds.
Chelsea legend Eden Hazard has a great relationship with his Belgium team mates, and one of them has jumped in to defend him over his ‘unfair’ treatment at Real Madrid by former Chelsea boss, Carlo Ancelotti.
Hazard is the subject of many transfer rumours this winter due to being out of favour under Ancelotti at Real Madrid. But Dries Mertens says that what is happening with Hazard is ‘not fair’ and he says he is going to call Ancelotti himself to ask him what is going on.
You’d imagine he is joking, right? Well apparently not, as he reiterates that ‘I am not joking!’
⤵️🎙| Mertens: “This is football, I have seen that Hazard is healthy and physically fit, the relationship between the Belgian FA and Real Madrid is good, we know he is doing extra work to keep him as fit as possible, Hazard wants to do his best to reach his high level.” @ladh
