Chelsea have put a £14 million price tag on midfielder Ross Barkley ahead of the January transfer market, according to journalist Ekrem Konur. The English star has failed to make a mark at Stamford Bridge since moving to the club from Everton three years ago.
He spent last campaign on loan at Aston Villa. In spite of enjoying a good start to life at the Villa, his stint was in the end a poor venture. This term he has only started one match and Ross’ lack of playing time has sparked a lot of speculations on his long-term future at the club.
Some Premier League sides have taken a serious interest in the situation regarding the 27-year-old Englishman. It is believed that Burnley, Leeds United, and Newcastle United are all keen on snapping him up.
Furthermore, the concerned clubs would be happy to know that the Chelsea hierarchy have given the green light to Ross moving elsewhere. It is said that the West Londoners has rated the player at £14 million. It represents a fair value for a star who still has age on his team and is not to mention, homegrown.
