Chelsea legend John Terry has said he would love to see Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski in the Premier League. The verdict comes after the Blues reportedly tried to tempt the Poland international to Stamford Bridge during the summer while journalist Ian McGarry has said that the player's agent has offered his services to Marina Granovskaia before.
Terry made the statement on an Instagram story on Tuesday night as the 33-year-old scored twice during Bayern's 5-0 win away to Stuttgart. This season has seen Lewandowski find the net 29 times already in just 24 matches - could he carry that form into the Premier League in the future?
Tuchel has offered an insight into his Chelsea transfer plans for the January window, hinting that there are no plans at present to bring new faces in. The comment arose after he was asked, when signing new players, whether their vaccination status against Covid was something he would look for.
"I don't think so because where would this end?
" he told his pre-match press conference.
"Vaccination is still a free choice and we are still free people, adult people. Everybody has to make their choice and, of course, it's strange and crazy times and we have to be very careful. But it has not gone so far here at the moment that discuss the vaccination status.
"Anyway, we are not in talks right now that we bring in players because first of all we trust our squad and hope we can bring all players back, be at full strength, and then we have a full squad and a good atmosphere to protect. This is where we are now."
