Ex-Club Brugge scout and star Paul Courant has suggested youngster Charles de Ketelaere would fit right into the German coach Thomas Tuchel’s’ current Chelsea roster and stressed the Blauw-Zwart starlet should move to an elite club as his next step in his professional career.
He is considered to be amongst the highly-regarded rising stars in Belgian football at the moment and the player has been catching the eye with a string of eye-catching performances.
The 20-year-old forward is a product of the club’s youth set-up and is a fixture in the squad although many think he will find his way to a European heavyweight on the continent in the coming transfer markets.
Paul is an admirer of Charles and has suggested that he’d be a good fit at the Blues as he suits the coach’s vision at Stamford Bridge.
“Put Charles at Chelsea tomorrow and he would play immediately”, Courant told a Belgian outlet Het Laatste Nieuws. “Especially under that manager [Tuchel] – I know that club and the vision of their coach a little bit. “Charles no longer needs a refresher course. He is already a modern footballer – physically, technically and mentally.”
He has also started featuring more week in, week out for his country and only time will tell whether one day he’ll end up playing for Chelsea.
