‘Not Good Enough For Chelsea Imho’ ‘Oh Dear, No Thank You’ Fans Discuss Potential Rudiger Replacement

Paris Saint-Germain defender Presnel Kimpembe would be open to moving to Chelsea, according to reports in the French media.

The 26-year-old is seeking a new challenge and he is believed to be keen on a switch to the Premier League where he could link up with his former PSG boss Thomas Tuchel.

Supporters on Twitter are very much against a move for Kimpembe, who they believe is too error-prone to strengthen the Blues’ backline:

Rudiger replacement 🤔 — Enzo d' Boogeyman (@mr_enzo01) December 21, 2021

Were Chelsea to make a move for Kimpembe, he would most likely be a straight replacement for Antonio Rudiger. The France international is left-footed so he would be best suited to playing Rudiger’s position in the back three.

Other than that, though, it’s hard to know what else would attract Chelsea to the centre-back. He may well be an experienced player but he doesn’t look like a good fit for English football where strength, consistency and concentration are vitally important.
