The decision from Thomas Tuchel to bring N'Golo Kante off at half-time in Chelsea's defeat to Real Madrid earlier in the week caused some pundits to be shocked.
The Frenchman was far from his best, though, and the Blues looked better when Mateo Kovacic was introduced. Tuchel has since confirmed the reasoning behind bringing Kante off and insisted it was nothing to do with an injury.
