Chelsea fans are waiting patiently, or perhaps not so patiently, for the final potential bits of transfer business the clubs are looking to conclude, with just today and tomorrow left to do it.
The transfer window slams shut on Tuesday evening, so there are two big days to conclude any dealings now, and Chelsea are expected to be busy. We should see more outgoings, but there is also the potential of one or two more arrivals, with a midfielder being one of those potentials.
Saul Niguez from Atletico Madrid is the most talked about link, and reports are still suggesting that something is being worked on here.
Simoneone told Fichajes: “We talked to him, I told him what I think and feel. There is not much else. Between now and Tuesday, we’ll see. We know that anything can happen in football.”
As you can see, he stayed rather coy, which in these circumstances can often be quite significant. He certainly didn’t rule out the move, and it looks to be on the cards now.
