Chelsea sitting at the top of the Premier League standings after starting a season strong and a number of world-class players have been linked with signing for Thomas Tuchel side in the January transfer window in order to strengthen their team in the midseason and challenged for all possible trophies.
According to a report on Thursday, Thomas Tuchel has informed the club’s hierarchy that he is keen on to add one more centre-forward to his squad. If that speculation is correct, the demand may stem from injuries sustained by Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner, something which has forced Tuchel to identify alternative solutions.
Fiorentina’s alleged valuation of Dusan Vlahovic, has seen Serbian forward with a possible transfer target for the Blues. Nevertheless, the 21-year-old’s form in the Italian top-tier and subsequent interest from other Premier League teams, means that he will naturally be on the shortlist of Thomas Tuchel.
From Vlahovic’s perspective, a transfer to Chelsea will make little sense as he has to challenge Timo Werner and Romelu Lukaku for the starting role. However, Chelsea will see the benefit of adding another top-class forward who could be useful on the cup tournaments.
