Chelsea sent strong EPL title message

 

Petr Cech has sent a strong title message to Chelsea, insisting that the Blues will have major challenge in their bid to win the EPL.

While admitting that Chelsea have enjoyed a ‘brilliant’ start to the season, Cech has told his former club that it will ‘not be a two-horse race’ for the title with rivals Manchester City, Liverpool and West Ham all also impressing in the Premier League.

Asked about Chelsea’s start to the season and the title race, legendary goalkeeper Cech told talkSPORT:

‘We’ve been having a brilliant season. ‘The coaching stuff has done a great job because we had a lot of players on international duty and pre-season was really affected by that.

‘To be in the position we are now, it’s great credit to everyone. It has been a great pleasure to watch every game in the Premier League, there has been great drama and everybody can beat everybody. ‘It will not be a two-horse race for the title.’

Meanwhile , after playing a 1-1 draw against Burnley, Tuchel said Sean Dyche’s side were ‘lucky’ to ‘steal a point’ but was nevertheless happy with his team’s ‘fantastic’ performance.

‘It was a fantastic 90 minutes when you look at performance. It can only happen in football,’ the German boss said.

‘That’s why everyone loves the game – a team can steal a point if the other team forgets to score the goals they deserve. We did a fantastic match. ‘Of course I’m disappointed. If we played this game 100 times, we’d win 99 times. Today we didn’t win it. The second goal would have decided it. It’s always possible you miss one ball, one cross, and this can happen.’
