Juventus have made an approach for Chelsea midfielder Jorginho, according to the Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport . The 30-year-old, who is valued at £40.5 million by Transfermarkt, has enjoyed the best football of his career in west London since arriving - controversially - from Napoli in 2018, becoming a crucial player for both club and country in recent years.
The Old Lady were previously linked with Jorginho during Maurizio Sarri's tenure, and Massimiliano Allegri has now reignited the Italian side's pursuit. The Italy international's long-term future at Stamford Bridge is in doubt, with his current contract at the club due to expire in the summer of 2023.
Our view: Jorginho gets more slack than any other player in modern football at the moment, and I think it's unfair - he is up there among the best, and it's no surprise that his peers obviously think so too.

Our view: I'd love to see de Jong at Chelsea, roaming the midfield with N'Golo Kante or Mateo Kovacic. I think he's a top player and would be a great replacement for Jorginho if Juventus do push ahead with a deal for the Italy international, as aforementioned.
